Neighborhood

Our cabin is located along the scenic Deschutes River in a peaceful, natural setting — the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy the great outdoors. You’ll feel tucked away in nature, yet you’re just minutes from top destinations like Sunriver, Bend, and Mt. Bachelor. We’re right next to the Deschutes River boat launch, making it easy to enjoy floating, fishing, or paddling adventures. The area is known for its towering pines, wildlife, and access to hiking, biking, and ski trails. In the Oregon Water Wonderland neighborhood you get to best of both worlds- proximity to Mount Bachelor for skiing the slopes, Sunriver and Bend for shopping and restaurants, while also unwinding at home in the peace and quiet of the pine tree forest and adjacent Deschutes River. Note that there is some variation throughout the year in the river level, with about 30 percent decrease in water level in the middle of winter. The Deschutes flows at it’s highest in mid to late summer months, but can be enjoyed year round. You’ll often see deer, elk, and geese meandering through the neighborhood. While you’ll enjoy the quiet of a riverfront retreat, you’re just a short drive to local restaurants, breweries, and shops in Sunriver (15 min) and Bend (30 min). Whether you’re here for outdoor fun or a peaceful escape, the neighborhood offers the best of both worlds.

Guest Access

Guests have full private access to the entire cabin, outdoor patio, and yard. Enjoy the space as your own during your stay.

This location is one-in-a-million. If the weather was warmer, we would have spent the entire visit on the back porch watching the abundant wildlife playing in the river, especially the geese. The cabin is warm, welcoming and nostalgic, inviting memories to be made upon entry. With a full kitchen, you can truly escape from reality in the peaceful high desert, or make a short trip into town to be a care-free tourist. We will definitely be back.

This family cabin was the perfect place to get away for a long weekend. The host Todd was extremely attentive, easy to coordinate/communicate with, and was entirely focused on his guests experience. The home is as advertised, if not beyond my original expectations, and had a perfect mixture of privacy, comfort, yet accessibility to town and forms of entertainment and food!!! I have never stayed at an Airbnb twice, but i have a feeling this one may break that trend!

Great cabin. Bring some firewood to cozy up next to the stove. Beautiful river view and quick access about 30 minutes to Mt Bachelor. Loved the space they had set up for all of our gear to dry out.

A car is recommended for getting around during your stay. The cabin is conveniently located about 15 minutes from Sunriver, 30 minutes from Bend, and 30 minutes from Mt. Bachelor. We’re right next to the Deschutes River boat launch, so you can walk to the water for fishing, floating, or paddling. In winter, we recommend AWD or 4WD for safe access, as roads can be snowy or icy at times.
